Council oversees the operations of the Union. It comprises the Executive Officers, Faculty Representatives, Community Representatives (e.g. International Students, 2SLGBTQIA+ students), and the student representatives on the Dalhousie Board of Governors.

Council Appointments

Positions that remain vacant after the Fall By-election will be filled through a council-appointed process. To be considered, please submit your application using the form below by January 5, 2026.

The DSU Council will appoint members on January 12, 2026.

1. Indigenous Students Community Representative (must self-identify)

2. In-Residence Students Community Representative (must self-identify)

3. Faculty of Dentistry Representative (must be enrolled)

4. Faculty of Graduate Students Representative (must be enrolled)

Council Meetings

The Council meeting schedule for the Winter is as follows. Meetings start at 6:00pm and will be held in-person at the Council Chambers, SUB. Meetings are open to all DSU members.
