Executive Team
The Student Union is led by four student executive councillors: the President, Vice President (Internal), Vice President (Finance & Operations) and Vice President (Academic & External). All three of these positions (except Vice President (Finance & Operations) are elected by Dalhousie students in the Winter General Election.
President | Anjali Seshadri

Anjali is the Chief spokesperson for the Dalhousie Student Union. She holds a position on both the Dalhousie Board of Governors and Senate, and assumes the crucial responsibility of chairing various committees within the DSU and sits on multiple committees at Dalhousie. Anjali also oversees all day-to-day operations of the Union and regularly represents Dalhousie Students on municipal, provincial, and federal levels, engaging with government officials and senior administrators at the university.

Vice President (Internal) | Suha Manal

Suha facilitates all student union societies and oversees all communications–including official correspondence and the Student Union website. Suha also chairs several committees, including the Student Accessibility Fund, Society Review Committee and Grants Committee.

Vice President (Finance & Operations) | Anton Kredl

Anton oversees all of the student union’s finances and oversees many operational aspects of the Union. Anton audits the books of levied societies and is responsible for writing the student union’s yearly budget.

Vice President (Academic & External) | Orpy Dey

Orpy is responsible for the student union’s advocacy and campaigns on academic and student issues, including tuition fees, student debt, academic integrity, and equity issues. Orpy sits on the Dalhousie Senate, represents students on various university committees and through municipal, provincial, and federal lobby efforts. Orpy chairs the External Committee, International Student Emergency Bursary Committee and Senate Caucus.
