Dalfest is an outdoor festival style concert, hosted annually by your student representatives, Dalhousie Student Union.
It marks the end of first-year orientation week, and helps new & returning students kick off the school year with a bang!
Open to Dalhousie & Kings, we encourage you to join us for one of the biggest nights of the year listening to Canadian rock band, THE BEACHES!
TICKET INFORMATION

FREE | TICKET RESERVATION REQUIRED
Upper year Dalhousie students will be able to acquire Dalfest tickets at no cost but will still be required to reserve a virtual ticket.
Access to Dalhousie Student ticket reservations will be live as of August 11th, 2026 and will be accessible via our website, www.dsu.ca/dalfest.*Note: Only one ticket can be reserved per person. (Student verification required.)

Incoming O-Week students who remain opted-in to O-Week will use their O-Week pass as a ticket and are not required to reserve an online ticket.
(please ensure that you have your O-Week Pass and Dalcard on you when you arrive at the gate).

Information regarding how and when King’s student tickets will be accessed will be announced from the KSU closer to release.
As King’s students have a unique relationship with Dalhousie University and are immersed in its community, both academically and socially, the DSU is happy to announce that King's students will be eligible to attend Dalfest this year!
As Kings students are not part of the DSU membership, Dalfest tickets for King's students will be sold at a fee of $30/ticket and will be available to purchase through the KSU (King’s Student Union) directly.

Don’t worry if you missed out on a ticket! If we have remaining capacity, door tickets may become available 30 minutes after doors open.

Student verification will be handled at gate entrance.
PHYSICAL DALCARDS ARE REQUIRED FOR ADMITTANCE.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Tickets will only available for current Dal & King’s Community members. Entry to the venue will include a verification process at the gate.
We require all ticket holders to have their physical DALCARD in hand with their ticket, when entering the venue.
Students & Staff will be asked to how and scan their ticket & dalcard upon entrance. Only ticket holders wil valid DalCards will be given admission into the venue

Dalfest 2026 is an event hosted by the Dalhousie Student Union, for current Dalhousie Students.
This year we are also opening Dalfest to the broader Dalhousie Community, including King’s Students.
Unfortunately, at this time, due to our capacity limits, Dalfest is closed to all parties outside of the current Dalhousie Community. This is to ensure that we’re able to accommodate as many of our Dalhousie Student members as possible.

YES! All Dalhousie students are welcome to attend. Ticket reservations are required for Agricultural Campus students.
Ticket rervations will open on August 11th, 2026 (link access will be available on this website as well as @dalstudenunion’s social media )
