Friends & Family Coffee Break

  • Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building 6100 University Avenue Halifax, NS, B3H 1W7 Canada (map)

Time: 2 PM - 4 PM
Location: Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building

The Friends & Family Coffee Break is designed to support the people who matter most in a student’s life—parents, guardians, close relatives, and trusted friends—as they help their student transition into university life. Join us for a warm and welcoming event where supporters can learn more about the student experience, connect with university staff and services, and share questions and experiences with others navigating this exciting new chapter.

Attendees will have an opportunity to hear from Dalhousie's President, Dr. Kim Brooks and Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Rick Ezekiel before enjoying complimentary coffee, tea, and light refreshments in a relaxed setting that encourages meaningful conversation. Students and staff from campus support services will be available at resource booths to answer questions and share information.

Whether connecting with fellow supporters or speaking with student support professionals, guests will leave with greater insight into fostering student resilience, independence, and well-being.
