Start your Dal journey with the Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) through a welcoming experience focused on community building, connection, and support for Indigenous students.
The day will include a welcome from ISC staff, a Smudge Ceremony, an introduction to available supports and services, and opportunities to meet fellow students. Students will learn more about navigating Dalhousie, leadership development opportunities, and strategies for academic success. Participants will also enjoy lunch with Indigenous faculty and staff, an interactive campus scavenger hunt and tour, and a relaxed waterfront social focused on peer connection and community.
Early residence move-in option
If you're living in residence this fall and want to attend Indigenous Student Orientation, you can make a request for an early move-in on September 2!
Just follow these steps:
Email residence@dal.ca and indicate that you plan on attending Indigenous Student Orientation and require an early move-in to residence.
Wait for your request to be processed by the Residence Office. Once your request is processed, you will be notified by email.
Please note: Residence dining halls will not be open until Thursday, September 3 at 4:30 p.m.
