Able@Dal is a welcoming orientation for new Dalhousie and King’s students who use, or are considering, academic accommodations. Hosted by Access Advisors, staff, and students, this session helps you build confidence, understand how supports work, and get connected early.

It is strongly recommended for students coming directly from high school, though all interested students are welcome. You’ll hear real student experiences, learn how to access and use accommodations, understand how to work with your Access Advisor to create a plan, and gain practical tips for success in your first year.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Understand how to work with your Access Advisor to build your accommodation plan

  • Get practical tips from staff on what to expect in class and how to succeed
