Able@Dal (Family & Supporters Session) is a welcoming orientation designed to help you support your student as they transition to university with academic accommodations.
Led by Access Advisors, students, and the campus support team, this session will give you a clear understanding of how accommodations work, what your student can expect, and how to encourage their independence and success.
Recommended for those supporting students coming straight from high school (but open to all), you’ll hear real student perspectives, learn how supports are accessed, and understand how your student will work with their Access Advisor to build a plan. You’ll also gain practical tips on how to best support them throughout their first year.
