CKDU-FM is Halifax’s only FM campus-community radio station. We are a volunteer-run, 3200-watt station broadcasting 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from the Dalhousie campus to the metro Halifax area. CKDU-FM has been broadcasting as an FM station since 1985.

The Loaded Ladle serves free, locally produced meals! Anyone and everyone is welcome to volunteer with us or eat our delicious food. Loaded Ladle is a non-profit, student funded, open cooperative of students and community members dedicated to providing affordable, diverse, fresh, and healthy food to as many people as possible. Loaded Ladle aims to tackle the unjust global food system by providing a local alternative.

WUSC - Dalhousie/King's Local Committee

We sponsor the education and resettlement of refugee students at Dalhousie University. As a part of WUSC's Student Refugee Program, our local campus committee contributes towards creating access to education for displaced youth from conflict-torn areas of the world.

DalOUT - The 2SLGBTQ+ Organization of Dalhousie University

DalOut’s goal is to create a safe and accepting place for 2SLGBTQIA+ and questioning folks at Dalhousie University and in the community. Through regular events on and off campus we aim to connect students with others in the queer community. We have queer support navigators with regular office hours to help provide students with resources and next steps. In addition, the society also has educational and sexual health resources. Members of DalOut are here to make Dalhousie a fun and queer place, you are not alone.

Kings & Dalhousie Bike Society

The Centre & its rentals are run by students, for students - we host rides and events and offer free bike loans to Dal & King's students as well as a shop for bike repairs. We believe that helping people feel comfortable and confident working on their bike can help them save money, feel empowered, and show how fun and rewarding doing your own repairs can be. Our well-equipped shop has affordable parts and is staffed by knowledge

Dalhousie Outdoors Society

The Dalhousie Outdoors Society (DOS) is a levied society aimed at increasing the accessibility of outdoor spaces to the Dalhousie community. DOS offers subsidized trips, grants to student groups and societies and a fully stocked gear library, free of charge.

The Sextant is the official student run newspaper for Sexton Campus! Articles are student written, and concern the students in the faculties of Engineering, and Architecture and Planning. Topics could include society events, conferences, tips for success, and interviews with staff.
