DALHOUSIE SIKH STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
Dal SSA is a student led group on campus which aims to create a welcoming and comfortable space for Sikhs and others on campus. Our society promotes spiritual well being and social connections, it also works hard to educate the broader university community about who we are and why we look the way we look. We also look to set up langar on campus, which is an integral part of the sikh faith (providing free food for everyone).
Our society works to support students who identify with the sikh faith and also bridge the gap between sikh students and the rest of the student community. Our members are actively involved in setting up events, coordinating with the local Gurudwara's for help with food, and advocating for Sikh rights (if need be).
The SSA is important because of the sense of belonging it gives students who identify as a Sikh, especially for those who may be far from home and are struggling to find cultural/religious belonging. It also plays a broader educational role where a misunderstood people get a platform now to be represented. Our society reflects Dalhousie’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student leadership.

The Chapter seeks to serve the interests of its members by providing an environment for the exploration of faith issues arising from the study of law.
The Chapter also seeks to assist students who want to start and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ, who want to be supported in their faith, to develop ministry and leadership skills, and to minister to their peers. It is predominantly a group of Christian law students who meet together regularly to support and encourage one another, but non-Christian and/or non-religious students are also welcome to meet with us and partake in respectful discussions on the intersection of the Christian faith with the practice of law.

Dalhousie Muslim Students' Association
The Dalhousie Muslim Students' Association (MSA) represents the Muslim students on the Dalhousie campus (Studley, sexton, and hopefully other campuses in the future). We provide a welcoming and supportive environment to Muslim students, or anyone interested in Islam. We address the concerns of Muslim students, provide a sense of belonging, and nurture unity within our community and with the overall student body.
The Dalhousie Muslim Student Association (DMSA) serves as a vital hub for Muslim students at Dalhousie University, fostering a sense of community, support, and engagement within the student body. At its core, DMSA aims to provide a platform where students can connect with one another, celebrate their cultural and religious identities, and address issues relevant to the Muslim community on campus. Through various events, discussions, and initiatives, DMSA creates opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Islam, engage in meaningful dialogue, and promote interfaith harmony and understanding.
Members of DMSA are actively involved in organizing events such as Islamic awareness weeks, cultural celebrations, community service projects, and educational seminars. They also play a crucial role in supporting fellow students, offering mentorship, academic assistance, and a sense of belonging. By providing a space where students can express themselves freely and connect with like-minded individuals, DMSA contributes to the holistic well-being of Muslim students at Dalhousie University.
DMSA is important within the Dalhousie student community as it fosters inclusivity, diversity, and cultural exchange. It serves as a bridge between the university and the Muslim student population, advocating for their needs and interests while promoting understanding and cooperation among all members of the community. Additionally, DMSA's presence enriches the campus experience by showcasing the vibrant and multifaceted nature of the Muslim faith and its contributions to the broader university environment.

Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO)
CCO is the Catholic Community at Dalhousie! We are a group of people who are on all different levels faith! We are a space where you can both explore and ask questions about the Christian faith and grow deeper in your personal faith in community.
We run small-group faith studies, host large-group events like retreats and prayer nights, and there are almost always people hanging out on the 3rd floor of the SUB studying, playing games or just chatting.
We'd love to get to know you and hope you'll join us.
Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) is an organization created to help students to learn more about God, and how to form a personal relationship with Him. We will be hosting book studies throughout each semester that help achieve this goal. The 5 books are Discovery, Source, Growth, Trust, and Commission. While the first 4 studies are a semester in length (either Fall or Winter), Commission will be completed over both the Fall and Winter semesters.
CCO Dal is also a great place to meet new people! we provide a safe and open environment, meeting students where they're at in life. We know how tough life can be as a student, and we strive to make a community that can help support each other, as we all try to navigate this chapter of our lives.
Events such as a Fall Retreat, Summits (Adoration nights), Winter and Spring Formal, along with other fun events! Information for each event will be posted on our Instagram page, as well as advertised around the SUB building. All are welcome to join in on any of our events!
