Dalhousie Consulting Association

The Dalhousie Consulting Association (DCA) educates and increases awareness about the wide variety of meaningful career opportunities in consulting, empowering students from various educational backgrounds to explore their interests through guest speakers, events, workshops, and more.

Our society educates and increases awareness about careers in consulting. In
the Dalhousie community, our society will play the role of empowering
students to explore consulting opportunities. As a new society, students can
be highly involved in decision making and brainstorming ideas for events
hosted by our society. The DCA is important because we will provide a space
for students to meet like-minded individuals and shine light on the many

The same goes for national students, but it is often more challenging for international students. We have established a great community in which students help each other out and make sure no one is left behind.

DABS is a place for biology lovers to come together; whether you are in the biology program, taking a biology course, or just are interested in biology in general, DABS welcomes everyone! DABS does a range of events every year, from going to Point Pleasant Park to go bird-watching, to tie-dying, to trivia nights! Are you interested in sports? We also arrange a sports team every year. When it comes to academics, we know it can be a challenge to navigate your degree and understand your options, so DABS helps host regular information sessions about topics like SEASIDE courses, biology degree options, Co-op, and much more. One of the biggest reasons to join DABS is the excellent sense of community we have amongst our members! DABS is a great place to gush about your favourite biology topics, get advice from other students on picking courses, and, above all, is a wonderful place to make new friends.

DABS aims to advocate for its biology students through its many representatives on curriculum committees, the committee of the whole biology department, and at DSS meetings. We love uniting students with a common interest in biology together and doing fun new activities where we can explore all that biology has to offer. All in all, DABS’ goal is to create an enjoyable space where all students feel welcome, and we would love for you to join us! If you have any questions or would like to join, feel free to send us an email at dabs@dal.ca or a message on our Instagram @dalbiology (https://www.instagram.com/dalbiology/), or our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/dalbiology.
