Welcome to the Dalhousie Chinese Society (DCS), where individuals interested in immersing themselves in Chinese culture join together to celebrate traditional festivals and learn more about the culture. As a general member of the DCS, you will have the opportunity to attend our annual dumpling festival in celebration of Chinese New Year, where we enjoy delicious food that symbolizes luck and prosperity for the new year, decorate lanterns and watch movies!
As well trivia night is our most popular event, where groups compete for prizes based on their knowledge of Chinese culture. It is an excellent opportunity to meet new friends, win prizes, and learn about the culture. This year, we will host an event for the Mid-Autumn Festival where students can engage in festival activities such as trying mooncakes, lighting lanterns, making Chinese dragons, etc. Whether you want to learn more about Chinese culture or just meet new like-minded individuals, DCS is the perfect society for you!
