Atlantic Student Research Journal Dalhousie Chapter (DAL ASRJ)
The Dalhousie chapter of the Atlantic Student Research Journal (ASRJ) is a society made to inspire Dalhousie students to become the voice of innovation and research. We encourage the literary aspect of science and apply it by creating peer-reviewed articles from research topics that students are passionate about. This is a step to the research world, we have events from scientific writing training to general social gatherings.

Loaded Ladle
The Loaded Ladle serves free, locally produced meals! Anyone and everyone is welcome to volunteer with us or eat our delicious food. Loaded Ladle is a non-profit, student funded, open cooperative of students and community members dedicated to providing affordable, diverse, fresh, and healthy food to as many people as possible. Loaded Ladle aims to tackle the unjust global food system by providing a local alternative.

Dalhousie Judo Club
Judo was derived from Ju Jutsu in the late 1800’s as a way to develop the youth of Japan. Not only is Judo a physical activity and a sport, but its principles of “mutual welfare and benefit” and “maximum efficiency” can be applied to one’s life outside of the dojo.

The Dalhousie Judo Club welcomes men and women of all ages and abilities, from beginner to black belt. The club organizes social events throughout the year, which is a great way to meet new people. They also offer the opportunity to compete, if desired.
Dalhousie Model United Nations
DalMUN is a society focused on simulating United Nations discussions. Delegates will be given country assignments to represent their stance on diverse topics, debating amongst others at continent-wide conferences. The essence of DalMUN is to foster a competitive and supportive environment. This environment will give individuals the chance to foster their leadership and public speaking skills, and also make new friends.
DalMUN is a society focused on simulating United Nations discussions. The primary goal of DalMUN is to create an opportunity for individuals to travel, practice their diplomacy, and be a part of a community. Our vision for DalMUN is to create a solid society that lasts beyond 2023-2024. Competitive MUN teams across the continent are able to engage in high quality debate at conferences throughout the year, and gain recognition through awards which they casocn put onto their CV. We hope to create opportunities like this for current and future Dalhousie students.

Dalhousie Investment Society (DALIS)
The Dalhousie Investment Society is a student-run society that aims to apply financial concepts learned in the classroom to real-world markets. This is achieved through the utilization of our Bloomberg Risk Lab, where DALIS manages a mock global macro hedge fund, The Maritime Fund. Discussions around current world events, student-run learning sessions and guest speakers at the weekly general meetings all help our members form informed trade ideas which are executed with the help of our Portfolio Managers.

DALIS is committed to exposing its’ members to external industry professionals at various firms across North America and Europe. This is achieved through the Schooner Newsletter which is published with an overarching goal of highlighting the incredibly talented students within the society and giving a glimpse into the society for our industry partners and connections.
The society is open to any and all students of Dalhousie. Looking forward, we continue to increase presence from female students as well as students from faculties outside that of the Rowe School of Business.
