Our society's purpose is to provide a safe and welcoming space for Middle Eastern and North African Women at Dal. This society seeks to bust stereotypes, taboos, myths and cultural barriers by sharing our experiences regarding being both female and people of color. MENAWD also seeks to unite and empower women regardless of their spoken language(s), ethnicity/ies, nationality/ies, country of birth, religion, financial status, etc. Members are encouraged to attend social events, fundraisers and more where they can meet new people and strengthen their involvement at Dal. Our society is not affiliated with any religion or political group.
