Business Law Association of Dalhousie (BLAD)

The Business Law Association of Dalhousie (BLAD) was created in 2013 and is the representative body for students at the Schulich School of Law who are interested in the field of business law. BLAD provides a wide variety of services for students such as hosting networking events with practitioners and organizations in the field of business law, holding educational seminars and speaking events, pairing students with mentors, and holding social events.

BLAD's goal is to create a society that provides students with educational and networking opportunities in the field of business law. Since its founding, BLAD has grown to include more than one hundred enthusiastic student members.

Our fundamental purpose is to create a community of students who are interested in, informed about, and connected to business law. Our mission is to provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge regarding the exciting field of business law, expose students to the many opportunities in this field and provide opportunities for law firms to interact with students who are interested in business law.

Meetings have been attended by an engaged and motivated student body, as well as supported by several faculty and members of the business law community across Canada. Valuable relationships between students and practitioners have been formed and students gain personalized insight into the many different facets of business law.
